ACT Nomination Guidelines and ACT Critical Skills List
There have been no changes to either the ACT Nomination Guidelines or the ACT Critical Skills list since the latest update in April 2023. However, we anticipate a review early next year and will advise any significant changes in due course.
We endeavour to provide migrants and agents with as much notice as possible, but changes may occur at short notice. Please make sure you check our website frequently for updates.
Our aim is to continue with regular invitation rounds at a consistent frequency. You may notice smaller invitation round sizes in the first half of the financial year, which may have resulted in higher minimum scores for invitations in some occupation groups. The smaller sizes of the previous rounds were determined by operational requirements. Larger invitation rounds are expected throughout the rest of the financial year.
The last invitation round of 2024 was conducted on 26 November 2024, and the next round will be undertaken before 14 February 2025.
Occupations related to critical services including teaching, healthcare and social assistance will remain high priorities.
We will provide updates on invitations rounds through the ACT Migration website.
One Nomination Place per Person Policy
Please remember that we offer only one nomination place per person. If your clients are successfully nominated for a 491 or 190 visa, they cannot apply for another ACT nomination place. We have a fixed number of nomination places, which once taken, we do not get back. It would be unfair if applicants were given two or more nomination places. Therefore, please ensure that the information recorded on both ACT nomination applications and SkillSelect EOIs is correct.
